What Qualifies as a Small Second Dwelling?

To be classified as a small second dwelling in Victoria, the development must:

  • Be 60m² or less in floor area 
  • Be self-contained (kitchen, bathroom, toilet, laundry) 
  • Not be separately subdivided or sold 
  • Not be connected to reticulated natural gas
